Stephenie (she/they) graduated with their Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2015 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon and Texas. They have clinical experience working with adolescents, families, and adults navigating the challenges of commercial sexual exploitation, child maltreatment, and complex trauma. Stephenie has worked in outpatient and juvenile justice, residential treatment settings for approximately 9 years, and was initially DBT trained in 2016 by Dr. Michele Galietta at John Jay College.

In addition to being intensively DBT and DBT PE trained, Stephenie is also TF-CBT certified, MI and EMDR trained, with additional specialized training in CSEC/CSEY and issues pertaining to violence against women. Operating from a framework that prioritizes social justice is vital to Stephenie’s practice.

Stephenie is passionate about collaborating with clients in identifying and obtaining their “Life Worth Living” goals and strongly believes that if someone still has breath in their lungs, then there is still hope for their future!

Outside of work, Stephenie loves quality time with loved ones, soccer, being in and around water, cooking, and getting gnawed on by her adorable rescue pup for whom training is a work in progress!
